Essential Education

The 16 Guidelines for Life from Saturday 23 to Tuesday 26 October

This workshop is reserved for those who followed the introductory course on the 16 attitudes, in November 2009 or July 2010. These 16 attitudes are a complete set of practical and direct tools designed to give a new meaning to our daily life and to help us to be happier. They are inspired by a 12th century tibetan text and offer a presentation of universal wisdom adapted to persons of all ages, cultures and traditions.

More than mere words, they are an inspiration to act in all sorts of ways in order to be beneficial to oneself and others. These 16 attitudes can be used everywhere, at work, in schools, in hospitals, prisons, at home etc.

The 16 guidelines are linked in a continuous circle by four themes.

How we think : humility, patience, contentment and delight.
How we act: kindness, honesty, generosity and correct speech.
How we relate to others : respect, foregiveness, gratitude and loyalty.
How we find meaning: aspiration, principals, service and courage.

« Everywhere in the world, there is deep knowledge and wisdom.
What's missing is a universal language that can be understood by each and everyone … One subject could contain the essence of all religions, philosophies and psychologies, together. These things should exist together, simultaneously, without separation … Education should look like all of that, instead of separating them
