Introduction

programme
The Institut offers 4 complete study programmes, which can be followed at any time of the year.

The Introduction to Buddhism course course (2 days) is a brief but complete presentation of Buddhism in the Tibetan Mahayana tradition.

The Introduction to Meditation course (3 days) is aimed at those who want to know why to meditate and how.

The art of happiness, with Sixte Vinçotte, offers a concise global vision in 8 week-ends (over a year) that allows the student to acquire the essential foundations in tibetan buddhist pratice.
This course can serve as a first apprenticeship for those who have participated in Introduction to Buddhism and/or Meditation and allows older students (of PEBA for example) to refresh their knowledge and the methods used to confront daily problems.

Discovering Buddhism (one weekend per month for two and a half years) is mainly for beginners and for those who want a good understanding of the foundations of Buddhism.

The Basic Programme or Programme d'etudes Bouddhiques Approfondi (PEBA) is aimed at the more experienced students. This programme addresses the philosophical themes of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsong Khapa.

Apart from the above programmes, other programmes, many of which are in English, are regularly offered on weekends. During the year the Institut receives important Tibetan lamas, and western teachers from the FPMT who teach all over the world.

Vajra Yogini Institute is also a meditation center that can adapt to everybody's needs : group retreats, intensive practices or individual and personal retreats.

Other activities are offered on a regular basis : painting tsa-tsas, sutra readings and rituals which are celebrated according to the Tibetan lunar calendar. (For pujas, please see the calender)
