Resident teachers
Geshe Lobsang Tengye was born in 1921 and entered Lhatse Monastery at the age of six.Following the Chinese invasion and after two years of forced labor , he went into exile in India where he obtained the highest diploma in monastic studies, that of geshe Lharampa. He was the official representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Thailand for seven years. At the request of Lama Yeshe, Geshe Lobsang Tengye accepted to come and teach at Vajra Yogini Institute in 1980. After having been the resident teacher for more than twenty years, he continues to reside at the Institute. He accepts to teach at least one week-end a year.
Geshe Tenzin Loden, the new resident teacher at the Institute, was born in Bylakuppe,
in southern India in 1961.
He entered Sera Je Monastery at the age of nine and continued his studies until he obtained the title of Geshe
in 1994. He then spent six years in strict retreat.
Venerable Tenzin Ngeunga met buddhism in 1977 and participated in the early days of the Institut.
She has been resident since 2004 and was ordained nun in 2006. She teaches the program
« Introduction to meditation »,
« Introduction to buddhism»
and regularly guides meditation evenings.
Sixte VinçotteSixte Vinçotte has been close to the Institute for a number of years and has successfully completed the Masters Programme, a seven year course forming teachers at Institut Lama Tsong Khapa, a FPMT center in Italie.
