The château

Located in hills of the Tarn, some 40 kilometers east of Toulouse, Vajra Yogini Institute is a study and meditation centre of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is under the spiritual leadership of Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Geshe Tenzin Loden.

The pleasant setting of the château d'en Clausade, with its extensive park, is particularly conducive to relaxation and concentration.

The weekend teachings consist of short, intensive, seminars which include teaching sessions, meditation sessions and question and answer sessions and take place from Friday evening or Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.

Intensive meditation practices are offered on a regular basis.

The group retreats, which are organised at the Institute, offer an exceptional opportunity for individuals to go on retreat within a rigorous and privileged framework.

It is equally possible to do individual retreats with the support of experienced practitioners. Additionally, the presence of Geshe Tenzin Loden can enable individuals to benefit from his experience and precious advice.

Study groups (in Albi, Balma, Castres, Montauban, Montpellier, Toulouse) enable inhabitants of neighbouring towns to regularly follow teachings and meditations one evening a week or one evening a month.

The Institute also receives external teachers for courses and workshops which contribute to the preservation of the Tibetan culture or which are to do with working on one's body and mind.

A team of volunteers ensure the day to day running of the Institute.

Accomodation and home cooked vegetarian meals are available even when there are no teachings.
