Visit of the Venerable Antonio Satta
Each year the Institute is delighted to welcome the venerable Antonio Satta for a vipassana retreat. This meditation retreat is based on the four foundations of awareness and combines vipassana meditation from the theravada tradition with mahayana vipassana.
The daily program consists of alternate sitting and walking meditations. Venerable Antonio offers an approach based on sutra mahamudra to those on retreat. A particular emphasis is placed on vigilance and discipline, which no book can ever teach us. Retreatants are asked to participate in every session and to respect total silence during the entire retreat. The retreat is guided in English with a simultaneous translation into French (merci d’apporter radios FM et casques).
Retreatants are highly advised, where possible, to arrive one or two days before the start of the retreat and/or to leave one or two days after the end of the retreat.
The cost for lodging and food, from August 25th for dinner to September 5th after breakfast, is 168 euros to stay in the campsite, 208 euros in the dormitory, 288 euros in a double room, 388 euros in a single room.
We cannot guarantee the availability of single rooms.
