“When you offer a grain of rice to Buddha statues, stupas or scriptures, however small (…), it becomes a cause of full enlightenment, of great liberation, and by the way, it becomes a cause of liberation from samsara (…). The result can be happiness, good rebirth, hundreds or thousands of lifetimes.”
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Today, with the motivation to benefit all sentient beings, you can contribute to the realization of this project, which consists of two main elements:
- The statue of Buddha Thousand-arm Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit), represents the embodiment of compassion and the ability to touch and help countless beings. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is considered its emanation. This magnificent statue, striking in its aesthetics and dimensions (3.3m high by 2.6m wide), will be created by Denise and Peter Griffin, two artists in residence at the Institute.
- This sacred statue will be positioned in the heart of the Bergerie, which will be renamed Temple of Compassion and completely renovated to welcome our teachers in the best possible conditions.
Your contribution is essential to the realization of these two aspects, and so we’re offering you the opportunity to sponsor one of the thousand arms of Buddha Chenrezig, to the value of €207.
Finally, you can add a dedication to the merits associated with your donation. This dedication will be added to the Institute’s prayer list and to the donor wall below if you wish.
