“Meditating on Chenrezi and reciting OM MANI PADME HUM are the most important practices in your life.”
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
At the end of last year, we invited you to an evening of sharing with our friends Hup Cheng, director of the FPMT center in Singapore, and Denise and Peter Griffin, the two artists in residence at the Institut. They told us how the magnificent Thousand-Armed Chenrezi statue (3.3m high by 2.6m wide), of which His Holiness the Dalai Lama is considered the emanation, was created.
From now on, this sacred statue will be erected at the Institut, in the heart of the Bergerie, which will be renamed Temple de la Compassion and completely renovated to create a setting that will welcome our teachers in the best possible conditions.
Geshe-la’s official blessing ceremony for the sheepfold and workshop was held on Saturday September 30, with the recitation of sutras.
Your help will be essential to the realization of this project, which will materialize over a relatively long period, and we’ll keep you regularly informed of progress and ways to contribute and accumulate merit around this exceptional project.
